How to Install python-brian software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

python-brian software package provides simulator for spiking neural networks, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install python-brian

python-brian is installed in your system.

Make ensure the python-brian package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-brian *

You will get with python-brian package name, version, architecture and description in a table
